Job summary

KARL STORZ is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team on second shift in Franklin, MA. You will set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and Swiss-style machines to manufacture high-precision medical device components that support life-changing healthcare technologies.

Working from blueprints and documentation, you will ensure components meet exact specifications while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up CNC machines using layouts, setup sheets, and process documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience inspecting machined components and documenting measurement data.
• Ability to edit CNC programs and make process adjustments as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and Swiss-style machines to manufacture precision components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions to ensure accurate machining and inspection requirements are met.
• Inspect components to blueprint specifications and accurately record measurement and quality data.
• Edit CNC programs, make machine offsets, and perform process adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machine setup, tooling, and production issues using sound problem-solving techniques.
• Perform routine TPM activities to support equipment reliability and performance.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and solution implementation.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and quality records in compliance with company requirements.
