Job summary

Georg Fischer is seeking a Machinist II to independently set up and operate CNC lathes and related tooling to produce parts per print specifications. You will apply G and M codes, adjust offsets, and verify dimensions using precision instruments in a climate-controlled facility.

You will work a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional Saturdays, and overtime as needed. The role includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years CNC machining experience, including basic setups and reading blueprints.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform full basic setups on CNC lathes using Fanuc and Haas controllers.
• Monitor parts during production to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic machine and code-related issues.
• Install, replace, and maintain tooling and machine components.
• Follow safety, quality standards and contribute to efficient manufacturing processes.
