Kurt Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machinist II - Milling to join our team at our Machining Division. The CNC Machinist II is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating numerically controlled machine tools. This role involves performing a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive workpieces, ensuring close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.

1st Shift: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday - Friday

Compensation

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $29.00 to $37.00. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors, including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.

Essential Functions

  • Work from programming instructions, operational data and machine set up instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings.
  • Check parts for conformance to specifications.
  • Operators may be required to run more than one unit simultaneously
  • Requires a broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC operational procedures.

  • Kneel by bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee(s)
  • Crouch by bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine
  • Perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touch
  • Hear by perceiving the nature of sounds by ear
  • Adjust vision to bring objects into sharp focus
  • Identify and distinguish colors
