The Primetals-Blytheville Facility provides maintenance and reconditioning of beam, bloom and billet, conventional and thin slab casters. Engineering services, in-plant laser measurement services, in-plant millwright services, mechanical machining of large and small components, fabrication and welding services, in-house nickel and chrome plating are offered. Our expertise and technological advancements in the manufacture and repair of continuous casting mold, segment, roll and related components allow us to provide customers exceptional value in workmanship and quality assurance with every job.

We are currently recruiting to fill the role of CNC Machinist II in Huger, SC.

Required Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a specific equipment function experience required
• 1 to 2 years of Crane/Forklift experience is preferred, but not required. In-house training provided to obtain certification.
• Driver’s license is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sets up and operates computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery that automatically mills, punches, drills, broaches or reams metal and/or plastic parts.
• Makes adjustments to adhere to established specifications.
• Monitors work to ensure that machine is not malfunctioning.
• Makes general decisions as to quality, tolerances and operation sequence.
• Works from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts in making repairs to metal parts.
• Work is diversified and machining is performed to ordinary tolerances.
• Requires knowledge of various metals and of measurements used in machining process.
• Occasionally responsible for rigging, transporting and/or moving large parts and equipment.
• Computes cutting speeds, feed rates and dimensions.
• Prepares and pre-sets all tools needed for machining operations.
• Inspects machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
• Performs housekeeping of machine and work area.
• Performs daily maintenance check of machine.
• Other work may be assigned at Management’s discretion.
