Job summary

ELLWOOD Crankshaft Group (ECG) is hiring a Machinist II for our Sharon, PA facility. You will operate large CNC-controlled crankshaft milling/turning machines, loading workpieces, and setting program offsets on a 4-on 4-off schedule with 12‑hour shifts.

The role requires 3+ years machining experience or equivalent, plus strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and capability with general computer applications. Excellent communication and organization are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate large CNC machines: load workpiece, set program offsets.
• Monitor machining process and correct issues as needed.
• Unload and deburr semi-finished parts.
• Index carbide inserts and maintain tooling system.
• Prove out new CNC part programs.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep area clean.
• In-process inspection and documentation.
• Maintain neat, clean and organized work area.
• Operate band saw; turn and center parts on lathe.
• Move materials with overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Adhere to safety rules and quality standards.
