Job summary

Sigma Design is seeking a CNC Machinist II to independently set up and operate CNC machinery per blueprint specifications, with emphasis on Haas and FANUC controllers for lathes and 5-axis mills.

The role requires reading complex drawings, applying GD&T, and using micrometers/calipers for precise measurements. You will mentor junior machinists, adjust programs, and uphold safety standards in a standard 8–5, Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience with Haas and Arumatik-Mi controls.
• Strong reading of complex blueprints and GD&T symbols.
• Able to work independently within established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machine output with minimal supervision.
• Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T symbols to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances.
• Repair and fabricate parts by operating mechanical equipment.
• Mentor entry-level machinists in machine operation and techniques.
• Make minor G&M code edits (offsets, tooling, macros).
• Communicate setup and troubleshooting information effectively.
