Job summary

Kurt Machining, a division of Kurt Manufacturing in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a CNC Machinist II to set up, adjust, and operate CNC tools on progressively machined parts.

You will follow programming instructions, verify part tolerances, and ensure finish specifications while working a tight daytime schedule. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available; starting pay ranges from $30.24 to $40.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years of related experience
• Ability to perform metric conversions
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings
• Preferred: Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• Preferred: 4 or more years of related experience

• Work from programming instructions, operational data and machine set up instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings.
• Check parts for conformance to specifications.
• Operators may be required to run more than one unit simultaneously
• Requires a broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC operational procedures.

Kurt Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our team within our Machining Division in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The CNC Machinist II is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating numerically controlled machine tools. This role involves performing a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive workpieces, ensuring close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Due to ITAR and U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) are eligible for employment. $2,000 Sign on Bonus eligible for this role.

Shift/Hours: Mon-Friday 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Compensation

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $30.24 to $40.50. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors, including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.
