SHIFT DETAILS:

Monday through Thursday 4:00pm to 2:30am

POSITION SUMMARY:TheCNC Machinist IIis primarily responsible for the following:

Completes some set-ups and operates equipment as designated, to meet production requirements. This position Supports ourLathe Cell

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Completes set-up of equipment in a timely and efficient manner to prepare for production run.
  • Follows established set-up and operating processes/procedures, including tooling, fixtures, etc.
  • Loads/feeds machine as required to produce finished product.
  • Maintains production flow as required to meet established schedules.
  • Performs first piece and/or in-process inspection for dimensions of parts produced and maintain documentation as required.
  • Keeps count of parts and maintain accurate records in ERP, as well as other supporting documentation.
  • Follows specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., production checklist, work orders, operator instructions and set-up notes.
  • Ability to recall CMM program(s) and properly identify the required fixturing referenced within.
  • Operates CMM machines as required to produce the finished product.
  • Ability to save and interpret reported data, while ensuring the integrity of the recorded information.
  • Employee must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instruction. Can get along with co-workers or peers and respond appropriately to feedback from a supervisor in a professional manner.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including basic arithmetic and trigonometry.
  • Ability to read blueprints, including understanding of GD&T, and use a wide variety of precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to achieve overall goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Proven strong problem-solving ability with attention to root cause.
  • Maintains a personal and professional ‘continuous improvement’ mindset.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, legible handwriting that meets GDP requirements, and good interpersonal skills.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, and Notepad.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • EDUCATION: High School diploma, general education degree (GED) and/or trade school graduate preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE: 3+ year(s) experience in a manufacturing environment, setting-up and operating manual and/or CNC equipment, equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted OR demonstrated ability to execute the Essential Functions for this position. Internships and PT experience acceptable. Additional Requirements: Must possess good organizational skills. Must possess good manual dexterity. Knowledge of machining trade, working qualities of various metals and alloys.
