Job summary

Olympic Steel is seeking a CNC Machine Operator (HAAS) to run milling centers and ensure high-quality parts. You will edit programs, set up tooling, and manage RPM and feed rate adjustments while maintaining safe, efficient operation. Deburring and packaging of finished parts, plus material movement with forklifts, are part of daily duties.

Newer HAAS machines with probing and networking will be used. Forklift training is provided, and the role offers growth in a growing metal-products company.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience operating CNC milling centers in heavy manufacturing.
• Able to edit programs and adjust fixture & cutter offsets; set RPM & feed rates.
• Ability to modify X-Y-Z coordinates and optimize CNC programs as needed.
• Intermediate knowledge of HAAS controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining centers to satisfy quality and delivery requirements.
• Deburr and package finished parts, move products with forklifts or cranes.
• Setup tooling, edit programs, and ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Forklift training provided by the company.
