Job summary

Leverage Mechanical Services is seeking a motivated machinist to join our team. You will operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, and grinding equipment, read blueprints, perform setup, and help optimize processes. Training provided; strong work ethic required.

You will collaborate with welders, machinists, and engineers to improve tooling and fixtures, maintain safety and cleanliness, and perform inspections on production orders with attention to detail. Prior machining experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ambitious, eager to learn and grow
• Five years machining experience preferred
• Able to operate multiple machines with multitasking
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Pass drug screen and background check
• Stand for long periods and lift 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Operate Manual and/or CNC Lathes, mills and grinding equipment
• Machine shop math, blueprint reading, set-up and tool selection
• Work with welders, machinists, engineers to improve processes
• Develop fixtures and tooling
• Promote job safety in meetings
• Perform maintenance checks on machines
• Inspect and measure major dimensions on every 5th piece
• Perform First Article Inspection on production orders
• Maintain daily job logs
• Keep work area organized and clean
• Select, install and adjust tooling/programs to run parts
• Perform turning, milling, drilling, tapping and deburring operations
• Regularly lift 50 pounds
• Stand and operate multiple machines
