Job summary

HTI Recycling, an Ecore company, is seeking a skilled Machinist/Grinder Operator in Lockport, NY. You will set up and operate CNC equipment, perform grinding operations, and fabricate or refurbish industrial blades across multiple machines.

This on-site, 40-hour-per-week position supports production with blueprints reading, precision measurement, and routine maintenance. Overtime may occur on Saturdays; PPE is provided and there is a yearly boot allowance and tool reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Must provide own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machining equipment.
• Operate additional equipment, including Blanchard grinders, and other shop machinery as production needs require.
• Fabricate and refurbish industrial blades.
• Read and interpret blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve machining processes.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
