Job summary

AMBAC International, located in Elgin, Illinois, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Grinder to program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and grinders. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of CNC programming experience in vertical/horizontal mills and lathe operations. Strong shop math skills, knowledge of metric dimensions, and familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles are essential. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years CNC Programming experience in Vertical/Horizontal Mills or ID/OD Grinders.
• Minimum 5 years lathe experience; some CNC experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience programming in CAM.
• Able to setup and run concurrent jobs on multiple machines.
• Able to use standard measuring equipment such as micrometers and comparators.
• Able to work to metric dimensions.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and ISO quality systems.
