Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. seeks a CNC Machine Operator to perform CNC tool operations, fixture setup, and tooling changes to meet job specifications. The role involves cutting and boring operations on lumber and nonferrous materials, with focus on safe, precise execution.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and at least one year of CNC experience, with FANUC familiarity, good math and G-code understanding, and strong attention to safety and production records.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma.
• At least 1 year CNC machine tool experience, FANUC preferred.
• Ability to understand and interpret FANUC machine codes.
• Working knowledge of Cartesian coordinate systems.
• Proficient with basic computer equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares spoil boards for use and manages changes.
• Touches off tools and registers in CNC control to meet specs.
• Changes tools and collects tooling safely.
• Uses probe, calibration programs and height gages for setup.
• Stores programming files and manages files.
• Checks lumber and maintains production records.
• Maintains a safe, clean, organized work area.
• Completes pre-shift startup inspection and reports issues.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs.
