Job summary

Express Employment on 61st and Center is recruiting for a CNC Machine Operator to join a local company in South Omaha. Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes according to engineering specs and blueprints, with a 1pm–11pm Monday–Friday schedule.

This evaluation hire position requires high school diploma or equivalent, familiarity with CNC machinery and programming, ability to read drawings, measure parts accurately, and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with a strong understanding of CNC machinery and programming.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to use measuring tools and instruments to ensure accurate measurements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) according to engineering specifications and blueprints.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Adjust machine settings as needed to achieve desired results.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
