Job summary

Laitram Machine Shop, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., is seeking an Entry Level Machinist to contribute to high-precision component production. You will load stock into CNC machine fixtures, monitor processes, perform visual and dimensional inspection, and document operations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into CNC machine work holding devices and monitor the machining process.
• Performs visual and physical inspection of parts produced per Laitram Machine Shop Quality Management System.
• Performs accurate transactions (clock on, clock off, entering quantities, closing out operation when done, filling in appropriate paperwork).
• Cleans equipment used and keeps work area clean/organized.

This individual will be involved with the machining of a variety of materials to produce parts that meet dimensional and workmanship standards per Laitram Machine Shop's Quality Management System. Laitram Machine Shop, provides high-value machining and related services to the Laitram divisions and select outside customers. Responsibilities

• Load stock into CNC machine work holding devices and monitors the machining process.
• Performs visual and physical inspection of parts produced per Laitram Machine Shop Quality Management System.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience using inspection tooling (i.e., micrometers, calipers, gages) to accurately measure part features.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Knowledge of G and M codes.
• Experience with manual and automated CMM’s.
• Experience with GD&T.
• Experience with FDM 3D Printing.
