Job summary

Aerotek in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, read and interpret blueprints, and produce precision parts in a production environment. This is a permanent, on-site role with strong pay and benefits.

The position requires editing G-code, performing in-process checks with precision instruments, and troubleshooting issues independently while maintaining a focus on safety and quality. Growth opportunities exist within a well-run shop.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC machining experience in a production environment.
• Experience operating both CNC lathes and mills.
• Ability to read and work from detailed blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• CNC programming experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills on a variety of parts and materials.
• Editing and adjusting G&M codes at the controller.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and routings.
• Performing tool changes and adjusting offsets to maintain tight tolerances.
• Conducting in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshooting machining issues and making adjustments independently.
• Following all shop safety procedures and standard operating guidelines.
