Job summary
Randstad is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a production team in the Providence area. The role covers CAD/CAM programming through machine setup and first-article inspection, with strong emphasis on troubleshooting and optimizing CNC processes.
The ideal candidate will have CAM programming experience and a solid machining background, and must be able to work both first and swing shifts. This permanent placement position offers competitive pay and benefits.
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience required in CNC machining.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM programming and CNC machines.
- Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
- Experience with CAM software and prior setup duties.
Responsibilities
- Machine setup and operation of CNC mills and/or lathes.
- Change tooling per job setup.
- Create and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
- Edit and troubleshoot G-code at the machine.
- Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements.
- Select tooling, speeds and feeds for various materials.
- Perform first-article inspections using precision measuring devices.
- Experience with CAM/CAD software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360 or SolidWorks.
- Understanding geometry, dimensioning, and tolerancing.
