Leidos is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. The role covers programming, setup, and operation of CNC Mills and CNC Lathes for precision aerospace components.

The ideal candidate reads engineering drawings and CAD models; experience with exotic materials like Titanium is a plus. 5-axis or mill-turn experience is beneficial in our fast-paced R&D environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with at least 2 years precision machining on CNC Mills & Lathe.
• Ability to lift 35+ pounds unassisted and stand for long periods.
• Reading engineering drawings and CAD models to produce precision parts.
• Experience with aerospace components and exotic materials (e.g., Titanium) is a plus.

Leidos is seeking talented CNC Machinists for all shifts - 1st shift, 2nd shift and Weekend shifts to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in programming, setup, and operation of a variety of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.

Primary Responsibilities

• The CNC Machinist must be capable of reading engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique precision parts.
• Experience in the manufacturing of complex aerospace components from exotic materials, such as Titanium, is a plus.
• 5-axis and/or mill-turn experience is a plus.
• This role will work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced R&D environment with little or no assistance.

Basic Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a High School diploma/GED with at least 2yearsof precision machining experience on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes.
• Candidates must have the ability to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Candidate must be able to work overtime when required.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Applicant must be able to work a full-time, 1st shift - 4-days per week 10-hours per shift; 2nd shift – 4-days per week 10-hours per shift and Weekend shift 3-days Friday, Saturday, Sunday 12-hours per shift, 5:30a-6p.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 axis machining experience with Fanuc, Siemens 840D controls.
• (2) two years of 2D & 3D experience with a CAM software tool.
• Experience machining in a prototype environment.

Pay Range

Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
