Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a CNC Machinist for the 5th shift to operate 3-axis CNC mills and lathes, producing precision aerospace components. You will read blueprints, set up tooling, and ensure parts meet exact specifications while collaborating with engineering and quality teams.

The role emphasizes safety, process improvement, and on-time production, with duties spanning setup, inspection, and documentation in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience working on 3-axis CNC machining and assembly OR equivalent schooling.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC 3-axis milling and/or turning machines.
• Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and manufacturing best practices.
• Experience performing quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Ability to perform machining operations including milling, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, and turning.
• Understanding of machine shop safety practices, PPE requirements, and safe operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC 3-axis milling and turning machines to manufacture precision aerospace components.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Perform milling, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, and turning operations.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring devices to verify conformance to specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues and adjust machines as needed.
• Maintain production and quality documentation.
• Follow Honeywell Aerospace safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations on prototypes and production.
