Job Summary: Under minimal supervision, set up, program, and operate all types of CNC machinery that automatically mills, punches, drills, broaches, or reams metal and/or plastic parts. Make adjustments to adhere to established specifications or to correct faulty programming. Make decisions regarding quality, tolerances, and operation sequence. Tasks include complex and non-routine assignments.
This role has no supervisory responsibilities but may provide technical leadership to lower-level CNC Machinists, including training, planning, assigning, and resolving work problems.
Education and Experience: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Typically requires at least 8 years of machine shop experience including machine programming. Ability to interpret shop mathematics, drawings, and measuring tools.
Additional Requirements: Ability to follow import/export regulations, basic knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100, familiarity with Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen, and knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP...).
Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining/maintaining a security clearance. Ability to travel approximately ±10% domestically and internationally.
