Primus Aerospace is a leading manufacturing partner to aerospace, defense, and space OEMs, Primes, and Tier I suppliers. The company specializes in producing high-tolerance, complex geometry parts machined using standard and exotic metals. Primus works directly with all major aerospace manufacturers (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman) to provide components for mission-critical civilian and defense programs.

Shift Details: 3rd shift (F, S, S from 6am to 6:30pm), paid full 40 hours for 36 hours worked.

Key Responsibilities
  • Previous CNC Operator experience: mill turn and lathe
  • GD&T print reading
  • Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, metrology
  • Experience with machine set-ups
  • Ability to indicate vices
  • Coordinate x, y, z axes
  • Knowledge of machining principles
  • Operate CNC machines from work instructions or set-up personnel
  • Verify dimensional characteristics of parts
  • Meet cycle times and production schedules
  • Complete paperwork accurately and timely
Minimum Requirements
  • Previous CNC Operator experience or completed technical school coursework
  • Ability to read blueprints and use hand tools
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet production goals
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Attention to detail and quality focus
  • Experience with lean manufacturing techniques (preferred)
  • Experience in aerospace or defense machining (preferred)
  • Ability to obtain secret security clearance (highly desirable)
