Jobot is seeking an experienced Machinist to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and operate VMC machines in a state-of-the-art facility, reading blueprints and ensuring parts meet exact specifications.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in manufacturing, strong math skills, and a detail-oriented mindset. Excellent teamwork and safety discipline are essential in this high-output environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Machinist in manufacturing.
• Proficient in using and operating VMC machines.

Responsibilities

• Operate VMC machines for drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine setup and procedures.
• Translate instructions into computer commands for machine operations.
• Load raw materials and parts onto machines.
• Inspect finished parts and ensure compliance with specs.
• Periodically test machine operation and perform maintenance.
• Repair or adjust machines as needed and keep logs.
• Maintain safety standards and follow SOPs.
• Collaborate with team to achieve production goals.

Job Details

We are currently seeking an experienced Machinist to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the production process in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be a skilled professional with a strong background in setting up and operating VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate VMC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements
• Test operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running
• Fix machines that are not working
• Ensure machines are regularly cleaned and serviced to maintain their efficiency
• Maintain activity logs of all machine operations
• Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Machinist in the manufacturing industry
• Proficient in using and operating VMC machines
• Knowledge of the working properties of metal and other material
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
• A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
• Good communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus
• Proven experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines
• Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
• Familiarity with safety precautions around high-speed machinery
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
