Job description

The successful candidate will report to the Machining Supervisor and perform machining duties within the manufacturing environment.

The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a CNC Machinist (3rd Shift) to work at its state-of-the-art facility in Mesa.

The key responsibilities of this CNC Machinist include, but are not limited to:

• Having knowledge of CNC machining and secondary equipment
• Assisting Production Supervisors with KPI requirements (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost)
• Participating actively in and advocating for Lean & 5S culture across the company
• Conducting "in-process" quality inspections and collaborating with team members to ensure quality
• Providing feedback to planning & engineering to optimize productivity
• Offering translation services for team members when needed
• Using correct gauging, hand measuring tools & metrology equipment to ensure high-quality components
• Supporting preventative maintenance and reporting machine issues to the supervisor

• Minimum 2 years of lathe production experience on CNC & related equipment
• Ability to read and interpret job layouts, blueprints, schematics, and work from instructions
• Effective time management skills to support a productive work environment, including providing hourly production stats and implementing corrective actions
• Excellent attendance record
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Intermediate computer skills
• Ability to work efficiently on a busy manufacturing floor
