A leading company in aviation and aerospace component manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer. The ideal candidate will handle CNC programming projects, ensuring efficiency and quality while maintaining safety standards. Handles multiple CNC program projects by writing new programs and modifying existing ones to improve processes.
Creates conforming products using raw materials, tooling, models, drawings, and applicable standards.
Produces programs and setup sheets to deliver products on time and within budget.
Sets up machines from start to finish.
Has extensive experience troubleshooting manufacturing operations, including all machining processes.
Can program 2 to 7 axis lathes and 3-5 axis mills, and machine complex parts from start to finish.
Reads measuring devices and blueprints accurately.
Interprets engineering drawings to determine procedures for making or modifying parts.
Completes work according to drawing specifications while minimizing scrap material.
Works with management to prioritize shop schedules and maintain production efficiency.
Coordinates with the Production Manager on tooling, jigs, and fixtures production.
Discusses methods to improve manufacturing procedures and increase efficiency.
Operates machinery following safety procedures and uses personal protective equipment.
Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on shop equipment, maintaining safety devices.
Reports major maintenance needs or safety issues to the Production Manager promptly.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
