Job summary

Ari Walsh Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in Leander, TX. The role focuses on setup and operation of 3-, 4-, and 5-axis lathes and mills to produce both production and prototype parts. Proficiency with blueprints and precision measurement is required, with the ability to read calipers and micrometers.

Candidate will work with Haas or DMG Mori controls, adjust programs under supervision, and reliably meet tight deadlines while maintaining tolerances.

Qualifications

• Requires reading, writing and basic to intermediate math skills.
• Able to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Able to read and effectively use basic tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain and operate 3, 4 and 5 axis lathes and/or mills.
• Operate mills and/or lathes to produce production parts and prototype parts with minimal supervision.
• Review work orders to obtain part specifications.
• Responsible for setting up tooling and fixtures independently.
• Perform periodic inspections to ensure parts are within required tolerances.
• Knowledgeable and able to operate Haas or DMG Mori controls.
• Able to edit programs under supervision to correct dimensional issues that may arise during initial set-up.
