Currently, American Hydro is looking for a CNC Machinist to join the family at our York, PA facility. We're a tight-knit group that takes great pride in what we produce. The CNC machinist is responsible for rough and finish machining of production ports. NC programs and controller use. Work piece and machine set-up. Machinists are responsible to make sure their machines are working at full capacity, well-maintained and perform period checks on output. The Machinist must look at the product to ensure that it is ready for the next step in the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Compensation range: $26-31 hr. based on experience/$2 hr. shift differential
