Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts according to prints. Responsibilities include loading parts, running cycles, detecting malfunctions, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Strong communication and math skills are essential. Required is a high school diploma or equivalent, with an expectation of 40 hours per week on first or second shift (7:00am–3:30pm or 3:30pm–midnight).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of factory/manufacturing experience with blaster or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs all CNC setup and operation per prints and specifications.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
• Regularly performs milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, sawing and sanding tasks.
• Performs inspection of machined products and documents results.
• Completes and maintains paperwork for parts.
• Assists in other work areas to perform fabrication and may operate multiple machines simultaneously based on cycle times.

Summary/Objective
The CNC machinist sets up and operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC machinist sets up the machine to specifications based on prints, loads parts and operates the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1st shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm, OR, if working second shift - 3:30pm to midnight, 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent.
