Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a full-time second-shift opportunity in Greenville, Michigan. This is a hands-on machining role requiring experience with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC equipment, Mastercam/CAD/CAM, machine setup, blueprint interpretation, precision inspection, and CNC program troubleshooting.
The CNC Machinist sets up, adjusts, and operates large CNC machines to produce components requiring close tolerances and specific finish requirements. The machinist will work from part drawings, specifications, setup instructions, and operating instructions while using precision measuring equipment to verify quality throughout the machining process.
This position requires a machinist who can produce pilot pieces for inspection, verify machine setups, make adjustments to correct variances, operate multiple machines, troubleshoot programming issues, and complete final inspection responsibilities under general supervision.
The successful machinist will work as part of a production team, follow detailed work instructions, maintain strong attention to detail, and support established quality and safety standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Both 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining are specifically identified in the source requirements. Candidates should demonstrate actual hands-on machining experience with both rather than general CNC exposure alone.
Mastercam/CAD/CAM knowledge is specifically required. Candidates should be able to explain how they have used CAD/CAM software in connection with CNC setup, programming, toolpaths, program modifications, or troubleshooting.
Candidates should have familiarity with CMM inspection and hands-on experience with calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, and gage pins. They should also be comfortable collecting information from blueprints, plans, and work orders to complete inspection documentation.
A college degree is not required. The source accepts a high school diploma or GED plus related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
ISO 9001 knowledge is preferred, not required. Do not reject an otherwise qualified machinist solely because ISO 9001 experience is not listed.
Not ready to apply? If you have strong 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining experience and would prefer to discuss the opportunity first, call or text Elizabeth directly at 272-230-3157.
