Job Summary
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for production and post-processing of medical devices. This role will focus on operating machine shop equipment including, but not limited to, CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Wire EDMs, and Bandsaws.
2nd shift hours: 2:00pm to 10:30pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong internal working relationships across restor3d.
- Understand the objectives, responsibilities, and mission of the Sterility & Lot Release department and work towards those goals.
- Prioritize and plan work activities; adapt for changing conditions.
- Operate multi-axis machines (3-axis mill/turn, 5-axis mill/turn, and Wire EDM).
- Set up tooling and make tool offsets.
- Run programs developed on CAM software such as Mastercam.
- Interpret engineering specifications and drawings.
- Perform equipment maintenance.
- Support transfer activities requiring CNC equipment.
- Ensure high-quality production in adherence with industry standards.
- Create sustainable manufacturing processes, programs, and fixtures.
- Follow all safety precautions, including PPE usage and maintaining facility cleanliness.
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of manufactured goods as part of quality control.
- Collaborate with programmers and engineers to improve processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associates or post-secondary education preferred.
- At least 3 years of CNC Mill or Lathe setup and operation experience.
- Minimum 4 years of machine shop experience.
- Proficiency with CAM and CAD software such as Mastercam and SolidWorks.
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work in a regulated industry, including adherence to good documentation and quality practices.
- Strong visualization and analytical skills.

- Willingness to handle ultra-fine, medical-grade metallic powders, tooling, components, raw materials, and waste materials related to medical device manufacturing.
- Knowledge of respirator and fire-retardant PPE.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Operate equipment while wearing protective gear.
- Repetitive movements including standing, hand-tool work, squatting, kneeling, and ladder use.
