Job summary

Roots Blower LLC, a division of Ingersoll Rand, seeks a CNC Machinist to manage CNC equipment from setup to operation and produce parts from various resources. The role emphasizes adherence to tolerances, safety, and efficient production support.

Candidate will work on first, then second shift, with holidays, weekends, and overtime as required. Training is provided and CBA language applies. Competitive hourly pay starts at $24.73 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Open to any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Moderate computer literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Review all manufacturing paperwork in packets or at the work-site for machining directions; advise supervisor of problems associated with material quality, piece count, tooling, or operation
  • Set up and operate one or more CNC machines simultaneously to manufacture a variety of parts in support of production schedules, performing various operations within the machine tools
  • Make machine and tooling changes, adjustments, and calibrations required to maintain design tolerances
  • Perform and document visual and instrument inspections using a variety of gauges and tools to ensure tolerances and quality requirements are satisfactory
  • Perform in-process quality checks and accurately complete all Quality and Production associated documentation
  • Accurately report labor transactions and material counts, manually or electronically
  • Safely operate overhead crane, hoist, or handcart (including pendant or radio control) to obtain, transport, or position parts, tooling, fixtures, and materials, selecting proper rigging as required by the size or shape of the load
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, and observe plant rules and safe working practices

Pay Range

Starting at $24.73/hour. Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) language applies to this position. Shift diffractal will be provided when moved to 2nd
