Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for onsite work in Springfield, MO. The operator will set up and run tools to produce precision components, interpreting blueprints and GD&T, and performing typical machine maintenance.

The role requires 1+ year in manufacturing, a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with G-code. The position supports a Monday–Friday first shift with potential OT and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts.
• Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures.
• Construct, assemble, or rebuild machines used in transportation, manufacturing or wastewater industries.
• Follow safety and quality procedures; maintain equipment and document operations.

Pay Range: Up to $21.71/hr. Guaranteed increase after 3 months.

Perfect attendance bonus up to 2 additional days off and $1000.00

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years ofexperience in a manufacturing environment

Core Competencies

• Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and maintenance.
• Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic and algebra.
• Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
• Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
• Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment

Preferences

• 2+years' assembly and or CNC machining
• Ability to read blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
• Ability to determine and complete offsets through basic mathematics. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
