Job summary

Harvey Performance Company, LLC is seeking a CNC Machinist for the second shift at our Valencia, CA facility. You will operate and set up CNC grinders, ensure quality of tools, and support production through accurate tooling and process execution.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Walter and Star CNC machines, familiarity with Toolstudio or Numroto, and a strong ability to read blueprints and inspect parts using calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• Experience with Walter and Star CNC tool grinding machines.
• Familiarity with Toolstudio, Numroto, and Walter Helicheck software.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow geometry specification sheets and drawings.
• Performs first piece and in-process inspection for quality.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers and other measuring tools.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Our CNC Machinists are responsible for the setup and operation of our state-of-the-art CNC machinery, as well as the quality of the industry leading tools we produce. This position will be for our second shift.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Manufacture production orders for several CNC grinders.
• Edit/maintain CNC tool and cutter grinding programs.
• Perform first piece and in-process inspection of product.
• Assist coworkers in keeping equipment running efficiently.
• Keep the work area neat, clean, and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

YOU’LL BRING:

• Experience with Walter and Star CNC tool grinding machines.
• Software experience with Toolstudio, Numroto, and/or Walter Helicheck a plus.
• Knowledge of cutting tool geometries.
• Blue print reading abilities.
• Ability to inspect, monitor and maintain quality.
• Competent in the use of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to follow Engineering documented including but not limited to:
  • Geometry specification sheets
  • Product drawings
  • Job routers
  • Process sheets
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability for attention to details.
• Ability to work independently.
• Regular standing and frequent walking.
• Occasional climbing stairs, reaching overhead, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

The California hourly range for this position is $23+/hr based on experience and qualifications.
