Job summary

Sumidenso Automotive Technologies Asia Corporation is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for the 2nd and 3rd shifts to operate and adjust semi-automatic CNC equipment, performing standard operations and learning the setup process.

Under supervision, follow detailed instructions, use precision measuring instruments to check work, and report malfunctions. Maintain safe, clean work areas while meeting tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations.
• Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Preferred candidates have experience operating CNC grinding equipment (Walter, Ewag, Rollamatic, ANCA, Waida, Vollmer).
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust semi-automatic CNC machining equipment to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations.
• Learn the set up process.
• Recognize tooling and procedures, adhering to tight tolerances.
• Follow detailed instructions, work from standard coding and operational data to change or mount tools and position work piece.
• Adjust machine and fixture stops to maintain finish and tolerance requirements.
• Work from part drawings and use precision measuring instruments to check and inspect work, report malfunctions.
• May assist with setups or proving of program.
• Under supervision, work procedures and products are checked and inspected.
• Follow safety regulations and keep a clean, orderly work area.
