Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience, especially with vertical/horizontal mills and lathes.
  • Strong skills in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and program CNC machines while selecting appropriate fixtures and tooling.
  • Interpret blueprints and GD&T for machining processes.

Job description

CNC Machinist (Weekends)

Pay:

  • $24-$28/hr. (Work 36, paid for 40)

Shift: 5am-5pm, Friday-Sunday

Required Skills / Experience:

  • CNC Vertical/Horizontal Mill and/or Lathe operating experience (5 Years Preferred)
  • Use of Measurement Equipment, tooling applications.
  • Programming Editing / Programming experience is helpful (G-code/M-code and/or Esprit CAD/CAM software)
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerances) experience.
  • Ability to work with little to no direct supervision.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform repetitive machine setups as well as setup and program new jobs while developing/choosing proper fixtures, tooling, work holding, and process methods.
  • Plans machining by studying job packets, routings and notes, blueprints, materials, specifications, reference planes and orientations, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Programs mills and/or lathes using Esprit CAD/CAM software or entering program G/M-code, including zero and reference points.
  • Sets-up mills and/or lathes by selecting, installing, indicating and adjusting required work-holding, tools, fixturing, tool holders, attachments, indexers, and stops.
