Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a CNC Machinist in Dixon, IL on the 1st shift (Mon-Thu, 4:00 am – 2:00 pm). You will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to deliver precise drilling, grinding, milling, and turning.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings and blueprints, loading materials, monitoring operations, making adjustments, and performing routine maintenance. A high school diploma or GED and CNC experience are required; CNC certification and manufacturing background preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNC training preferred.
• One or more years of CNC experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform drilling, grinding, milling and turning.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment and securing.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust for quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
