1st Shift: Mon - Thurs 6:00am - 4:30pm
What You Will Do:
- Communicate with design personnel the necessary input parameters for CAD models into the additive manufacturing equipment and instruct them on how and when improvements can be made.
- Utilize the additive manufacturing computer systems to construct the build and make any required adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy and cosmetic quality of the end product.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all equipment in this area.
- Coordinate with technical support personnel from vendors to resolve issues or install system enhancements.
- Train other operators on additive manufacturing equipment and secondary processes, including secondary processing such as filing, metal finishing, or machining to achieve the desired surface finish and appearance.
- Order and maintain inventory of all materials and supplies used.
- Conduct quality testing (e.g., hardness and tensile tests) daily, analyze data, and adjust machines to maintain consistent quality.
- Collaborate with upstream and downstream customers (e.g., R&D, Production Scheduling) to meet production demands.
What You Need:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least three (3) years of related manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of inspection equipment, blueprint reading, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT).
- Formal CAD training, including 3D design and surfacing.
- CNC programming and machining skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with powder and support structure removal processes and equipment.
- Over one (1) year of experience with CAD operations.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- One (1) or more years of experience with 3D printing.
