Job summary

McWilliams Forge, part of Precision Castparts, seeks an experienced machinist familiar with turning machines. Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, read drawings, and work to close tolerances with minimal guidance. Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 6am-2:15pm.

The role requires hands-on experience in a machine shop and a commitment to quality. You will load programs, install tooling, monitor operations, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with engineers to improve processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years manufacturing experience
• Willingness to learn
• CNC programming experience (G-code, Mastercam, Fusion 360)
• Experience with tight tolerances and high-precision parts
• Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines)

• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

Job Description

We are seeking a machinist familiar with turning machines. Sets up and operates a variety of machines in machine shop, including but not limited to; milling, turning, drilling, grinding etc. Able to work to close tolerances working from drawings with little or no guidance.

Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 6am-2:15pm
