Job summary

Greenbrier Central, LLC seeks a CNC Machinist I to operate a range of manual and CNC machines, fabricating parts to tight tolerances. You will read blueprints, inspect parts with precision gauges, and work to production standards in a safety‑driven environment.

The role involves closely monitoring equipment, making tool adjustments, and collaborating with team members to meet quality targets. Training provided for growth within the department.

Qualifications

  • 6+ months experience operating various types of manual or CNC machinery (lathes or mills).
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and work instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team or independently.
  • Knowledge of advanced machine operation and mechanical knowledge machinery.
  • Ability to effectively use measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, angle gauges, and tape measures.

Summary

A CNC Machinist I operates a variety of machinery to fabricate component parts to meet close and complex tolerances using tools, including but not limited to, mills, lathes, CNC lathes, vertical and horizontal machines.

Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience in machine operation or manufacturing experience
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work Environment

This position is in a production environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, moving machinery and trip hazards where personal protective equipment such as head, eye, hearing, and foot protection, including composite toed safety shoes, are required.

This position may be exposed to welding, machining, forming, metal surface treatment, laser cutting, plasma cutting, and other metal working and assembly processes.

Additional PPE may be required as determined by the environment.
