Job summary

Viant Medical is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain Swiss CNC machines producing precision components for medical devices. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while ensuring quality and efficiency.

Shift options include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts with an early-late schedule and a 20-minute lunch.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years machine shop experience in all phases of machining.
• CNC set-up experience (2+ years) required.
• Ability to read blueprints and work with close tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Swiss CNC machines according to job specifications.
• Load raw materials and verify tooling alignment and offsets.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Make necessary program edits to maintain tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements.
• Perform preventative machine maintenance as required.
• Maintain production records and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.

CNC Machinist

Shift Hours (includes 20 min paid lunch; Monday-Friday workweek)

1st shift: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

2nd shift: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

3rd shift: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am

We offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is $26.00-$35.00/hour, 10% shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including two years minimum of CNC set-up experience REQUIRED
• Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints and experience working with small precision parts to close tolerances required.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as basic knowledge of lean manufacturing.
