Synerfac Technical Staffing is seeking a CNC Machinist in Newport News, Virginia. The role involves operating CNC cutting machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring tight tolerances. The candidate will prepare parts using GD&T, read and edit G-Code, and work with various machine tools on government contracts.

First or second shift, direct hire. Qualifications include a minimum of 2 years as a CNC machinist, GD&T proficiency, ability to lift 50 lbs, and owning a tool set.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CNC machinist (not operator).
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to machine to .0001" tolerance.
• Knowledge of shop practices.
• Ability to read and edit G-Code.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds is required.
• Machinist experience preferred and own tool set required.
• Will work on government contracts.

Shift: (1st shift) Monday - Friday; 7am - 3:30pm OR (2nd shift) Monday - Friday 2nd 3pm - 11:30pm

Our Client designs and manufactures state of the art aircraft systems and components for the aerospace industry, with a niche in helicopter rotor system and prop blade development.

Responsibilities and Functions:

• Follow operating procedures, engineering instructions, and other recognized methods of instructions.
• Must carefully plan and prepare using blueprints or written specifications to calculate operations.
• Use Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) cutting machines and precision measuring tools.
• Uses various machine tools (including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and spindles) to produce precision metal parts in large quantities.
