As a CNC / ACME / Tool & Die Machinist, you are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and/or ACME equipment to produce machined parts according to blueprint specifications. The role requires adherence to all safe work procedures and a commitment to high quality standards.
What You Will Experience In This Position
- Sets up and operates ACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment to produce quality machined parts as specified by blueprints, layout, and templates.
- Plans sequence of operations applying knowledge of materials.
- Assists in setting up and operating multiple ACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment simultaneously for a variety of machined products.
- Works from drawings, route sheets, schedules, written, and verbal instructions.
- Checks material for correct size and type.
- Uses micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to check work in process and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Moves materials in the performance of duties.
- Installs and checks safety devices as needed for specific jobs.
- Reports faulty equipment, defective material, and unusual conditions to supervisor.
- Completes required quality checks, documents, and production documentation.
- Observes all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed, which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.
You Have
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Prior experience working in a light industrial facility (preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment and meet operational deadlines.
