Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Setup
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC Mills, Lathes, and/or Grinders to meet production requirements.
- Prepare and execute first-piece runs to ensure machines produce outputs aligned with exact specifications.
- Program and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and turning.
Quality Assurance
- Hold tight tolerances and verify work at every stage of production.
- Inspect and measure finished products using specialized instruments such as callipers, micrometres, gauges, and indicators to ensure conformance to requirements.
- Compare finished components with engineering specifications to confirm process accuracy and quality.
Blueprint Reading & Problem Solving
- Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and other documentation to guide machining processes.
- Supervise machines during operations and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance and product quality.
Maintenance & Safety
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure proper functionality and reduce downtime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company standards and practices.
Required Citizenship / Work Permit / Visa Status
Must-Haves
- Proven experience in setting up and operating CNC machines with a strong understanding of machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and a focus on maintaining tight tolerances.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make machine adjustments for optimal performance.
