Jobot is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in Erie, PA to operate and set up CNC milling machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring precision parts meet tolerances. You will use micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools to verify dimensions and maintain quality.

In this on-site, permanent role, you will collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to optimize processes and meet production schedules while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience in mill operation, precision measurement, blueprint reading, and quality control, or equivalent skills.
• Ability to independently set up and operate CNC milling equipment and produce parts to specified tolerances.
• Proficiency with precision inspection tools and the ability to interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Working knowledge of cutting tools, workholding methods, feeds and speeds, and machining practices.
• Ability to recognize machining problems, make appropriate adjustments, and maintain consistent part quality.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safe working practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a manufacturing team.
• Technical training, a machining apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
