Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a CNC Machinist to support Wind Solutions by setting up machines, performing precision machining, and reducing production costs. You will align fixtures, load tools, monitor tooling conditions, and inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications.

The role involves 6S leadership to keep the shop clean and organized. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC and manual lathes/mills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a

Responsibilities

• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
• Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools for precision machining operations.
• Transfer commands from servers to CNC modules and start/stop/pause operation.
• Check work pieces for proper lubrication and replace cutting tools as needed.
• Listen to machines to detect dull tools or vibrations and adjust accordingly.
• Measure, examine, or test parts to ensure conformance to specifications using micrometers and calipers.
• Build parts by cleaning, machining on CNC/manual lathes and mills, and assembling sub-components.
• Lead daily 6S initiative and maintain clean, organized shop areas.

In addition, supporting engineering in developing prototypes and improving efficiencies in production.· Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines. Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.· Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, and insert control instructions into machine control units to start/stop/pause operation.· Check work pieces to ensure that they are properly lubricated and remove or replace cutting tools as required.· Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.· Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.· Build/Create parts by – including but not limited to:a. Cleaning – hand cleaning, tumbling, grinding, sandblasting, etcb. Machining – operating CNC & manual lathe and CNC & manual milling machinesc.
