Job summary

Geoprobe Systems® is seeking a CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts. You will read blueprints, perform math calculations, and verify first-run parts to ensure tolerance. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate has machining and CNC programming experience, can read G-code, work with CAM tools, and operate with strong mechanical hands-on skills. Team-oriented with good communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus.
• Machining and CNC programming experience required; ability to read/write G-code; CAM experience a plus.
• Experience reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools.
• Strong math skills and ability to work with accurate tolerances and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Plans and executes machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, machining parameters and tolerances.
• Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Sets-up mills and lathes.
• Loads material feeders by lifting stock into position.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces.
• Maintains specifications, adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Maintains safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment, completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Documents actions, completing production and quality logs.
• Accepts ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.

Job description

The Geoprobe® CNC Machinist works with a team to produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine while placing a high priority on maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Successful candidates will be team players, mechanical with strong hands‑on skills, committed to high-quality work, comfortable working with blueprints, strong in math, and team oriented.

Requirements
