Job summary

Techneeds LLC is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate and set up CNC lathe machines, program parts, and create prototypes from detailed specifications. You will interpret technical drawings and maintain a clean, compliant workstation to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include running programs with minimal supervision, verifying tolerances with precision tools, and contributing to a stable, efficient manufacturing team. Work shifts run Monday–Thursday, with training Monday–Friday mornings.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certificate in a related field with relevant hands-on CNC exposure.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and quality standards.

Job description

Our client is looking for a CNC Machinist. This is an exciting opportunity with an industry leader specializing in designing and building products for the military, medical, and aerospace industries. If you are passionate about manufacturing and want to be part of a stable, winning team, this role might be the perfect fit for you. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and setting up CNC lathe machines, performing programming and machinery setup with minimal assistance, and creating prototypes from detailed specifications. You will ensure precision machining, interpret technical drawings, and maintain a clean and organized workstation to meet quality standards.

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM

Training: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Required Skills, Education and Experience:

• Vocational or Technical Certificate in a related field and at least 5 years of directly related experience
• Ability to operate and set up CNC lathe machines, programming skills preferred
• Proficiency with shop mathematics, technical drawings, and measuring tools
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control standards
• Ability to maintain a 5S workstation in a team environment
