Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Machinist role in Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor CNC machining centers and lathes to produce precision components.
  • Set up machines, including tooling installation, fixture positioning, zeroing, and program loading.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to machine parts to exact tolerances.
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
  • Adjust machine offsets, feeds, and speeds as needed to maintain consistent part quality.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and minor mechanical problems to minimize downtime.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain organization and cleanliness in machining and production areas.
  • Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
  • Accurately document production data, inspection results, and tooling usage.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance and routine cleaning of equipment.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal machining or manufacturing training preferred.
  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred, but strong candidates with less experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency with CNC mills and/or lathes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measurement tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work varying shifts as needed.
  • Knowledge of G‑code, tooling, and machining processes is a plus.
