This role requires reading blueprints, diverse measurement tools, and collaboration within a team to ensure high-precision part manufacture.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to multiple shifts are valued, along with owning basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 2 years technical experience.
• Machining experience or relevant formal training.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Available to work all shifts including alternate shifts.
• Own basic hand tools.
• Preferred: setup/operation of vertical or horizontal turning/mills; strong math; Mazak experience; SAMI program completion; military experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program editing, and operation of CNC milling and turning centers.
• Verify parts and configurations using high tolerance measuring tools.

• Requires the verification of parts and parts configuration to plan requirements using various high tolerance precision measuring tools
• Must have the ability to read and interpret mechanical detail and assembly drawings, including GD&T, weld- joint symbols, and NDT requirements
