Job summary

Goodwill TalentBridge in Milwaukee, WI is actively seeking CNC Machinists for immediate, direct-hire opportunities on first and second shifts. Pay starts at $23/hr plus additional incentives.

Applicants should have a mechanical background with machine shop or automotive parts experience. You will read gauges, perform QC checks, operate diverse equipment, and contribute to remanufacturing of transmissions. Physical work includes lifting up to 50 lbs and standing 8+ hours.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background with machine shop and automotive parts experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years old; high school diploma preferred.
• Able to read gages and dimensions; follow instructions.
• Will work in remanufacturing/transmissions environment; will get dirty.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand and work on your feet for 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow detailed work instructions, process & procedures.
• Examine and clean components for use, noticeable wear, damage & defects.
• Verify and perform QC checks to ensure parts and components are correct and within standards.
• Operate and perform work using a verity of equipment, tools and machines (manual, hydraulic, pneumatic)
• Keep department clean of trash, loose debris and dirt, sweep and mop job areas throughout the day.
• Assist others within the department, be able to work as a team, work overtime when needed.

Our client partner has IMMEDIATE needs for a wide range of CNC Machinists to work at their northside location in Milwaukee, WI.

FIRST & SECOND SHIFT / DIRECT HIRE opportunities!

• First Shift: 6am-230pm
• Second Shift: 2pm-1030pm

Pay Range: $23/hr +

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking dependable, mechanically inclined individuals, preferably, with past machine shop and automotive parts experience. In this position, you will play a big part in providing labor, parts, service and goods to other team members and departments which is key and very important in the remanufacturing process of transmissions.

RESPONSBIBILITIES

• Read, understand, and follow detailed work instructions, process & procedures.
• Examine and clean components for use, noticeable wear, damage & defects.
• Verify and perform QC checks to ensure parts and components are correct and within standards.
• Operate and perform work using a verity of equipment, tools and machines (manual, hydraulic, pneumatic)
• Keep department clean of trash, loose debris and dirt, sweep and mop job areas throughout the day.
• Assist others within the department, be able to work as a team, work overtime when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to properly take and read various gages and dimensions, able to follow oral and written instructions
• Mechanical background, past machine shop and automotive parts experience preferred
• Must be 18 years old, high school diploma preferred.
• Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times, and may have to work with chemicals
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand and work on your feet for 8+ hours a day and under pressure at times
