Job summary

Intellectt Inc. in Manchester, CT is seeking a CNC Machinist for a day shift on-site role. You will program, set up, and operate CNC machines (DMG Mori, Mazak, Doosan) and read technical drawings to meet production targets.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of CNC experience, NX/Vericut proficiency, and aerospace manufacturing exposure. A machinist certification or equivalent is preferred; on-site work requires independent, precise execution.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of CNC machining and production experience.
• Hands-on with multi-axis CNC centers.
• Experience with DMG Mori, Mazak or Doosan equipment.
• Proficient in NX programming, Vericut, and CNC probing systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
• AS9100 knowledge and aerospace manufacturing exposure.
• Machinist certification or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines including DMG Mori, Mazak, Doosan.
• Operate EDMs, lathes, and profile grinders as needed.
• Read and interpret drawings, records, and specs.
• Develop and update CNC programs for production and efficiency.
• Identify tooling/fixturing issues and suggest improvements.
• Support process development, validation, and change management.
• Review processes to reduce cycle time and optimize flow.
• Coordinate projects with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and updated processes.
• Ensure operations meet schedules and quality requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machining equipment, including DMG Mori, Mazak, and Doosan machines.

• Operate various machining equipment, including EDMs, lathes, and profile grinders.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, design records, and technical specifications.

• Develop and update CNC programs to support production requirements and improve machining efficiency.

• Identify tooling and fixturing issues and recommend appropriate improvements.

• Support process development, validation activities, and manufacturing change management.

• Review existing machining processes and identify opportunities to reduce cycle time.

• Coordinate machining projects and workflow with engineering and manufacturing teams.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement updated machining processes.

• Ensure machining operations meet production schedules and quality requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 5 7 years of experience in CNC machining, programming, and production manufacturing.

• Hands-on experience operating multi-axis CNC machining centers.

• Experience with DMG Mori, Mazak, or Doosan CNC equipment.

• Proficiency in NX programming, Vericut, and CNC probing systems.

• Experience operating EDMs, lathes, and profile grinders.

• Knowledge of AS9100 standards and aerospace manufacturing processes.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

• Machinist certification, technical degree, or equivalent practical experience.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

• Experience with CAD, Creo, or Pro/E.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Background in aerospace and precision manufacturing.

Pay Scale

• Anticipated annual pay range: To be confirmed based on experience, technical skills, and qualifications.
